How we became "Ash & Aspen"

In 2017 my mom, Jana decided to rent out a booth in an Antique shop located in LaPorte, IN where she could begin to sell all her treasures she had collected over many years. Soon after, I, Alyson decided to go into this little "business" with her, as I had developed a passion for repurposing used furniture. A couple years went by and we had toyed with the idea of opening up our own shop to merge our two passions. Mom loved home decor and I loved fashion so why not bring the two together? In May of 2019 we took a leap of faith and opened up our own shop. Since then we have stocked our shop with such a variety of things because we aim to please people of all ages and gender here at Ash & Aspen. We carry items such as... home decor, furniture, candles, skin care, men's grooming care, men's, women's and children's fashion, jewelry and much, much more! I have always loved checking out different boutiques, but what seemed to be a trend was that most of the boutiques that I would visit didn't really seem as if they were affordable to many people. With that in mind, I wanted to open up my own boutique with affordability in mind. Another important thing to us was carrying products that are handmade with love. Those are the best kinds of products to us because we know we are supporting another small business that could be supporting someone's family. Thus, we became "Ash & Aspen".
